***Key Responsibilities: 

1. Develop full drawing sets, computer models, and construction details under the supervision of a Principal Architect 

2. Engagement with clients, consultants, and vendors in a highly professional manner 

3. Producing renderings for conceptual designs and detailed architectural features to be built 

4. Producing design studies utilizing computer drawings and 3D through all phases of project delivery 

5. Products and specifications research 

6. Navigating permitting and codes 

7. Construction site visits for design and construction reviews 

8. Desire to grow into a project management position and drive to help grow the company 

 

***Qualifications: 

1. Professional Degree (B. Arch or M. Arch) 

2. 4+ years of professional experience 

3. Excellent graphic and communication skills, well-spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients 

4. Have experience in SD, DD, and CD drawings and processes, particularly in working details and coordination of complex projects 

5. Proficiency in Revit - Please do not apply to this job if you do not have significant professional experience in Revit 

6. High Level of Computer Literacy, with proficiency in Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite programs, as well complementary rendering software skills (3DS Max, V-Ray, Twinmotion, etc.) is a plus 

7. Understanding of Construction details and methods 

8. Experience with and deep understanding of sustainable design principles is a plus 

9. Personal Time and Task Management Skills 

10. Ongoing desire to learn the process of permitting and code analysis

We are looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Engineer to be responsible for the evaluation and design of building projects. The Architectural Engineer is responsible for working with internal departments and external parties on building and design projects, ensuring the structural and functional integrity of building structures and systems and identifying and solving design flaws.

1. Designing, analyzing, and altering plans, prototypes, or structures.

2. Ensuring building plans, prototypes, and structures are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

3. Assisting team members with project objectives, budgets, and timelines.

4. Establishing project goals.

5. Identifying and solving problems in building plans, prototypes, and structures.

6. Ensuring building systems are functional, reliable, and safe.

7. Participating in site visits.

8. Testing and evaluating building systems to find problems and improvements.

9. Reading, interpreting, and explaining complex technical documents.

10. Consulting with clients on building projects.

The person must be a talented, licensed architect and designer who is well-organized, creative, an excellent communicator, interested in designing in multiple market sectors and looking for professional growth and responsibilities. ***Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily responsibilities include leading a design team within the office as well as coordinating with outside consultants and project stakeholders

2. Lead multidisciplinary project teams and consultants

3. Manage multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination

4. Manage communications between the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants

5. Review and contribute to proposals by working with the Marketing Manager to prepare presentation materials, statements of qualifications, building consultant teams, and participating in interviews

6. Lead presentations of design ideas, concepts, and milestone reports to clients

7. Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges

8. Develop project specifications based on the technical requirements of projects

9. Conduct on-site observations by attending construction meetings and site visits

10. Review submittals and respond to RFIs and substitution requests during the construction administration phase

11. Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships

12. Participate in Strategic Planning Committees, aligning with your interests, for the establishment of firm-wide goals and ongoing review and improvement of office culture, efficiency, and production

13. Mentor team members and assist in project detailing and construction

14. Guide and mentor less experienced designers in all aspects of professional development

15. Work closely with firm leadership to manage overall project delivery and administration

 

***Qualifications:

1. Designer who is well-organized, creative, an excellent communicator, interested in designing in multiple markets

2. 5+ years of relevant architectural experience with a portfolio demonstrating project work

3. Accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture

4. Architectural Registration required

5. Expertise in Revit and Proficiency in Bluebeam

6. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills

7. Ability to manage a project from conceptual design through construction

8. Ability to coordinate and lead a team of design professionals
